Mindful Eating Method Services

I offer a variety of different workshops and courses aimed at to help you identify and address the different kinds of hungers that we all have and to learn care for the self with compassion through mindful eating. Toward that end, I will offer various foundational mindfulness practices to develop awareness of our experiences and learn to approach all experiences without criticism or judgment.

My program is based on the Mindful Eating-Conscious Living™ Level 1 Training developed and taught by  Jan Chozen Bays, MD and Char Wilkins, MSW

MINDFUL EATING METHOD WORKSHOPS AND SERVICES

  • A Three-hour short workshop on Mindful Eating that includes basic meditation practices, introduces clients to the nine hungers, and basics of mindful eating practices

  • A Day-long Mindful Eating Retreat including silent meditation, gentle movement, walking meditation, mindful eating practices, opportunities for journaling and reflection.

  • A full weekend long Mindful Eating Method Retreat that includes mindful meditation, mindful movement, training in mindful eating, and walking meditation.

  • One-on-one consultation over 8 weeks, or as a single session.

  • Public talks for companies, universities, yoga and meditation centers, places of worship, wellness programs

  • An eight-week Mindful Eating Method course that includes the following trainings once a week for 2.5 hours in a group setting.

  • This program is based on the Mindful Eating-Conscious Living™ Level 1 Training developed and taught by  Jan Chozen Bays, MD and Char Wilkins, MSW

All of my courses and workshops include the following:

  • Mindfulness meditation to develop awareness of the present moment

  • Mindful movement to develop felt-sensations and awareness of the body

  • Mindful eating practices to help identify the various hungers we have in the
    body

  • Mindful Exercises to discern the differences between fullness and
    satisfaction and how to re-establish a joyful stress-free relationship to food
    and eating

  • Public talks for companies, universities, yoga and meditation centers, places of worship, wellness programs

  • Mindful Exercises to understand and undo past conditioning around eating, how to notice when we are eating to cover up emotions and/or when we eat to go unconscious Mindful practices to slow down while we eat so that we can really learn to taste our food and nurture ourselves.
